According to the Lipozene official website, more than 15 million bottles of this fat burner have been sold in just five years. If that’s true, I would be very impressed. Most fat burners aren’t met with that much success.

Lipozene Reviews – Is Lipozene an Effective Fat Burner?

So, what makes Lipozene different than other fat burners? Does it have an advanced, clinically proven formula? Is it safe and free of side effects?

Let’s dig into the claims made about Lipozene and see if we can find any dirt or if this product really is the excellent, best-selling fat burner manufacturers say it is.

The Claims

When I went to the Lipozene official website, I saw three claims on the homepage:

  • Clinically Proven
  • Safe & Effective
  • Satisfaction Guaranteed

The claim of “clinically proven” comes with sub-claims that Lipozene can reduce weight and reduce body fat.

Is Lipozene Clinically Proven?

Glucomannan is the only active ingredient listed on the official website. Glucomannan is a water-soluble fibre derived from the Konjac root. It’s suppose to expand in your stomach and help you feel full for longer so you eat fewer calories each day, and possibly lose weight faster.

Each serving of Lipozene (2 capsules) has 1,500 mg of glucomannan.

Glucomannan has been clinically proven. The official website mentions a study and makes several claims about it, but they don’t cite the study, where it was published, or provide a link to it. This makes me hesitant to believe the credibility of this particular study.

Does Lipozene Have The Right Amount?

I’m not sure if the manufacturers are referring to the same study I found because they say,

“Based on clinical studies, recommended dosages for optimum results is daily maximum dosage of 6 capsules per day.” If you take that many capsules, you’ll get 4,500 mg of glucomannan. In the study I found, subjects took no more than 3,000 mg of glucomannan a day.

Is Lipozene Safe & Effective?

Lipozene has just one all-natural ingredients. I’m not sure if you could take 6 capsules of Lipozene (4,500 mg) a day and still not experience side effects. So, I recommend taking no more than 4 capsules a day (3,000 mg).

Although, study subjects didn’t seem to experience side effects, I did find reports that glucomannan can cause flatulence, stomach pain, and digestive problems when used in large doses.

It seems that Lipozene has the potential to be effective. If you want to maximize your results, I recommend eating a low-calorie diet and exercising, in addition to taking Lipozene.

Because it might suppress your appetite, Lipozene should make following a low-calorie diet easier. If you find that is suppresses your appetite significantly, you’ll need to make an extra effort to eat healthy food so your body will get enough nutrition.

Is Your Satisfaction Guaranteed by Lipozene Makers?

The official website does offer a satisfaction guarantee, but the details are very limited. Basically, if you don’t get results from Lipozene, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund (less shipping and handling).

Before you can return it, you have to get a Return Authorization Number from customer service. This guarantee only applies to purchases made through the Internet or TV.

Does Lipozene Come From A Credible Company?

So far, Lipozene seems to have a flawless record, but then I started researching the company and this is where I found dirt.

Lipozene is made by Obesity Research Institute LLC. I couldn’t find a lot of information about this company online, but I did find several complaints filed by consumers because they were overcharged or billed for products they never ordered.

The two owners of the company, Henry Den Uijl and Bryan Corlett, were both fined by the FTC in 2005 for making false or exaggerated claims about their products.

On a positive note, the company does offer a guarantee of satisfaction. If you use Lipozene and it doesn’t work, you are backed up by the guarantee, so you should be able to get a refund…hopefully without any trouble. I recommend reading the fine print on the return policy and following the return instructions exactly.

Is Lipozene A Good Fat Burner?

Lipozene seems to deliver on all the claims made about it except one. Lipozene is advertised as a fat burner, but it doesn’t have a single fat burning ingredients. I would classify it as an appetite-suppressant, because that’s what it is.

As an appetite-suppressant, Lipozene could be effective for some people, but I’m hesitant to recommend that you try it because the company reputation isn’t the best.

I prefer to recommend a fat burner–that actually burns fat–with clinically proven ingredients and made by a reputable company. There are fat burners like this on the market, so you don’t need to feel as if Lipozene is your only option.
